The Shifting Scintillator Neutron Detector is used to detect thermal neutrons while rejecting gamma radiation events. The current detector has a resolution that can be altered to meet the requirements of the application.

A system for Associated Particle Imaging (API) with neutrons is disclosed. This system uses a neutron generator as the source. Neutrons emitted from the generator have an associated alpha particle emitted in approximately the opposite direction.

Special nuclear material (SNM) is a term that refers to fissile materials which, in sufficient quantity, can be used to produce a nuclear weapon.

Time and/or direction tagged gamma radiography removes scatter and gamma noise, and obtains multiple, simultaneous projections.

Maintaining the flow of commerce and transportation through ports of entry (POE) and other checkpoints requires quick resolution of nuclear alarms without de-vanning the container or vehicle.
