
Bio
Alexander Kolesnikov is an instrument scientist on the ORNL SEQUOIA instrument, SNS beam line 17, Senior R&D Staff. His current scientific interests are in the field of vibrational dynamics and tunneling effects in metal hydrides, carbon nano-materials, water/ice, liquids and gases under nanoscale confinement, etc. He received his PhD in physics and mathematics from Institute of Solid State Physics, Russian Ac. Sci. (ISSP RAS), Chernogolovka, Moscow District. Prior to joining ORNL, he was an instrument scientist at IPNS, Argonne Nat. Lab.; Research Fellow at UMIST, UK; Humboldt Fellow at IFF, Juelich, Germany; Senior Scientist at ISSP RAS, Russia.
