Bio
Xiao Hu is a Neutron Scattering Scientist for the Single Crystal Diffraction group within the Diffraction Section of the Neutron Scattering Division.
Prior to joining ORNL, Xiao was a postdoctoral research associate at Brookhaven National Laboratory. He has a PhD in Physics from University of Virginia. In 2016, Xiao obtained his undergraduate degree in Physics from Nanjing University, China. In 2021, he received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from University of Virginia, working with Prof. Seung-Hun Lee. Following his Ph.D., from January 2022 to February 2025, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate with Dr. John Tranquada in the Neutron Scattering Group in the Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Science Division at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
