My background is in Power Electronics and my research interests include wide-bandgap devices and their applications to power electronics, power converter modeling and control, soft switching techniques, inductive power transfer techniques, integrated chargers, multiport converters, etc. At Oak Ridge National Laboratory, my current research focus is on Transportation Electrification involving both conductive and inductive charging systems, brushless rotating field winding power supply and investigations in grid support for improved grid resiliency with EV charging. I am actively engaged with the EVs@Scale/EV Magic Consortium leading efforts focused on integrated conductive and inductive charging architectures and residential charger utilization for grid ancillary service activities. I am also engaged in power supplies for building appliances and an interesting project I am involved is the All Metal Compatible Induction Cooktop.
