Liz Neunsinger is a Nuclear Security Engagement Specialist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where she focuses on advancing transportation security research. In her current role, she collaborates on projects aimed at effectively communicating with both government agencies and industry stakeholders about the role of modern technology and partnerships in enhancing community safety while facilitating the secure transport of vital materials. Ms. Neunsinger joined the laboratory in August 2021, initially serving as a science writer. Prior to her tenure at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, she was a Communications Officer with the Department of Defense for 11 years. Additionally, she served in the United States Navy from 2002 to 2008. Ms. Neunsinger holds both a Master of Science in Communications and a Master of Science in Organizational Psychology from Walden University.
