Group Leader - Materials & Chemistry Group

The Materials & Chemistry Group within the Nuclear Nonproliferation Division is responsible for fundamental materials science related to the nuclear fuel cycle. Within MCG, we leverage state-of-the-art materials analysis methods, combined with controlled material synthesis, to understand the chemical and physical signatures of process perturbations on nuclear fuel cycle materials.

2024 Research Leadership Award, NSSD

2024 Outstanding Product Output, NSSD

MCG stewards a diverse set of materials analysis capabilities for chemical and physical property determination. All instrumentation within MCG is fully capable of analyzing radioactive materials. Contact for more information and interest in collabration.
