Amanda Heimbrook

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Dr. Heimbrook is a Postdoctoral Research Associate for the Fuel Cladding and Core Internals Group where her research focuses on the characterization and accelerated qualification of additively manufactured (AM) metal alloys and components for use in reactor vessels. She received her B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Virginia Tech in 2019, her M.S. from the University of Tennessee in 2020, and her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University in 2023.
