
Bio
Alexander earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University under the supervision of Dr. David McComb in 2025. His doctoral research focused on utilizing STEM-EELS to detect collective excitations in quantum materials. As a postdoctoral research associate at ORNL, Alexander designs and builds novel hardware solutions to complex experimental challenges. Alexander specializes in the use of rapid prototyping to accelerate hardware development and augment conventional manufacturing solutions.
